NEW SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS IN THE GLOBAL AGRICULTURE AND FOOD INDUSTRY

The 3rd Global Food & Agriculture Sustainability Symposium, organized by the U.S. Soybean Export Council, was held from June 10 to 12, 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

As the global population confronts the challenges of climate change and economic instability, the urgency for sustainable solutions in the food and agriculture sectors grows ever more critical. The Global Food and Agriculture Sustainability Symposium convenes industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to develop a coordinated roadmap toward a more sustainable future.

Previous symposiums have featured diverse content, from applying technology to sustainable food production to advancing the United Nations’ sustainable development goals by 2030. Building on the success of these events, this year’s symposium is themed “Navigating the Evolving Landscape: Uniting Standards for Enhanced Sustainability Impact.” The event calls on stakeholders to share knowledge, forge partnerships, and drive sustainable development.

VIET AGRI COMMODITIES CO., LTD (VIET ACC) proudly participated in this event. At the conference, speakers from international associations and businesses shared their insights. Notable speakers included Mr. Ashish Kapahi, Director of the ASEAN Economic Forum; Mr. Jeremy Adamson, Senior Manager at the U.S. Ministry of Agriculture; Mr. Ivan Ivanov, Head of Global Sustainable Development at the International Finance Corporation (IFC); Ms. Ilen Lam, Director of Sustainable Development Asia at Rabobank, and Ms. Thuy Nguyen, Director of Sustainable Development Asia & Vietnam at De Heus. Representatives from major Vietnamese and international companies such as CJ Foods, De Heus Vietnam, C.P. Vietnam, LDC, ADM, and Scoular also attended. The 3rd conference was sponsored by GREENFEED Vietnam Corporation, JANBEE Corporation, Vinamilk Corporation, Ichiban Global Company Limited, Dau An Company, and Vinh Hoan Corporation.
