WUTASA representative shared market insights at the event

On June 25, 2024, the Western U.S. Agricultural Trade Association (WUSATA) successfully hosted the Product Demonstration and Promotion event in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The event aimed to introduce new food and agricultural products from the West to the growing Vietnamese market.

A highlight of the event was the promotional showcase, attended by key importers, distributors, and media representatives. Featuring local chefs, the promotion not only demonstrated the versatility and quality of Western products but also allowed attendees to sample the dishes, creating a memorable and engaging experience. These culinary dishes ranged from traditional Vietnamese cuisine with a Western twist to purely Western-style dishes, catering to the diverse palate of the local market. Suppliers, wholesalers, and agricultural experts also had the opportunity to network and learn more about each other’s market needs and preferences during the event.

The event underscored Vietnam’s potential as a significant market for Western U.S. agricultural products, especially after the country’s recovery of the food service industry post-pandemic. In collaboration with the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service and the 15 Western Regional Departments of Agriculture, WUTASA successfully showed the importance of promotional activities in expanding market access and building trade relationships. The event contributed to paving the way for business ventures and deeper market penetration for Western U.S. products in Vietnam.

VIET ACC is excited about the potential collaborations and opportunities that emerged from this event and looks forward to leveraging these connections to drive future growth and innovation in the industry.
